Call for Applications – Scholarships in Mauritius

Eligibility Criteria
 
For Undergraduate Programs
 
Must be at least 18 years old and not yet 26 years old by 1 January 2026.
 
Must meet the following English proficiency requirements:
 
TOEFL: 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based).
 
IELTS: Minimum score of 5.5 or acceptable proof of English language proficiency.
 
Must have an overall average of at least 12/20 in the final secondary school exam (baccalaureate).
 
Must have already applied for a full-time on-campus program at a public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Mauritius (see Section 8 in the attached Guidelines). A conditional admission letter is required.
 
For MPhil/PhD and Doctoral Programs
 
Must be under 40 years old by 1 January 2026.
 
Must provide an abridged research plan and a supporting statement from a named supervisor.
 
Must provide a conditional admission letter or acknowledgment of application from a public HEI in Mauritius.
 
Required Documents
 
For Undergraduate Applicants
 
 Completed Application Form.
 
 Certified copies of: Birth certificate, passport biodata page, educational certificates, and transcripts.
 
Conditional admission letter or acknowledgment of application from a public HEI in Mauritius.
 
 Medical certificate signed by a registered Medical Practitioner (Section 6 of the application form).
 
For PhD Candidates Registered at the University of Oran2
 
Completed Application Form.
 
Certified copies of: Birth certificate, passport biodata page, educational certificates, and transcripts.
 
 Abridged research plan and supporting statement from a named supervisor.
 
 Conditional admission letter or acknowledgment of application from a public HEI in Mauritius.
 
Medical certificate signed by a registered Medical Practitioner (Section 6 of the application form).
 
Endorsement by the Nominating Agency (Section 5 of the application form).
